Well, this isn’t Gobbler’s Knob, Pennsylvania nor is that Punxsutawney Phil lurking in soil seeking out the weather forecast. However, Satsuma San Sam has seen a shadow (of sorts) and has eagerly declared SoCal not out of the woods or rain. While no marmot meteorologist, Satsuma San Sam has not let us down with his predictions in the seven years we’ve lived in this town. Legend goes, that if the ground is covered with the remains of mostly eaten satsuma oranges on the second day of February, the OC is in for some stormy weather. Unlike Punxsutawney Phil who, since 1886 has called the shots successfully some 70% of the time, the San Sam come lately has been on target 100%. While these statistics are not good for the groundhog, this is delightful news for our drought.
