He is in Control

9.1 earthquake ~ Tsunami ~  Nuclear reactors meltdown ~ Aftershocks ~ Volcanic eruptions

Japan is more than five thousand miles from my home. My house is quiet and in tact. There is an abundance of food in my refrigerator. My electricity flows as does water, toilets and gas to my stove.

And yet this morning during my time for Lenten prayer  I fight off distractions and the need to be in control.

In the midst of the turmoil, I search for meaning, ways to serve and the wisdom to fully understand “Thy will be done.”
