Once again, we turn to Henri Nouwen during Lent for reflection. Nouwen reminds us that “celebration is the acceptance of life and its preciousness.”  In its fulness of experience we are keenly aware of life as a celebration.  So, too, we celebrate life because all too soon it must end. Life is perfect, although in living it, we know the imperfections we bring to life. Life is an unearned gift. Every day we open the essence of it so beautifully wrapped and tears and laughter, comfort and sorrow are given to us so that we may know the love of the Lord.
