In the book,  The Emperor of all Maladies, the protagonist is cancer.

My vocabulary is far too limited to describe this must read. An eye opener, this life changing book is written by a researcher, physician, professor, husband, father and master story teller, Siddhartha Mukherjee.

It’s nearly 600 pages of gripping human battles: battles for cures, control and conquest. And it’s about victories and setbacks; lives and deaths.

This is a human interest story that attempts to describe uncertainty. And this book raises questions where sometimes there are no right answers.

Susan Sontag is quoted as saying, ” Cancer is the disease that doesn’t knock before it enters.”  Don’t let the emperor in your home unless you are prepared to have your life rearranged.
